The Inspiration Behind The Kindness Diaries

I believe that there are a lot of good people in this world who have a lot of love and kindness to share and I wanted to go out into the world, make those connections and share it with as many people as I could.

It’s so common to hear about the bad things that are going on in the world that we seldom hear the good. I think it’s important for people to see that there are many good people in this world who want to share their love and kindness with others.

Tony’s Story

I’ve been inspired by many people along the way but meeting Tony from Season 1 was the most impactful.  I came to find out that Tony was homeless. I spent the night with him on the streets of Pittsburgh, he gave me food and clothes and shared his story with me. Here is a man who had nothing yet gave me so much. Tony was full of love and taught me to always come from the heart.

Challenges Doing This

You never know who you’re going to meet. Not everyone I’ve met has been kind. Some people are not comfortable connecting with complete strangers and that’s ok. I follow my intuition, if it feels right then I will engage and if it doesn’t then I won’t.

Some people do not want to interact but I almost always met people along the way who wanted to help in some way and that kept me going.

Advice For Travelers Who Want To See The World

Go for it! Don’t be scared by what you hear from others or on the news. Step out of your comfort zone and go out into the world with an open mind and an open heart. Don’t have expectations, just be open to the possibilities. Don’t overthink it, just do it!
