I plan to hike Old Rag Mountain Circuit Loop on Oct 11th. Date may be flexed to Oct 18th, depending on weather and Day-Use ticket availability. Day-use tickets are $2 per person.

Plan is to go with 5 other people at the very most, 6 including myself. I hope to at least go with one other person. 

Day-use Ticket availability for Old Rag on recreation.gov. Tickets go on sale Monday, Oct 6 at 10 EST. Buy quickly as they sell out very fast within 15 minutes to a hour. 

If you plan to drive and park you have to buy a parking pass beforehand, which costs $30 per vehicle and last a week. If you have a national park pass you don't have to pay for parking for your vehicle. 

If changed to Oct 18, day-use tickets go on sale Oct 13th, 10am EST. 

This is considered a strenuous hike and challenging with the rock scrambling. It's about an 9.4 mile hike. There are certain points where you have to use all 4 limbs when rock scrambling. You must be physically capable of going at a pace of 2-2.5mph uphill and downhill with the ability to rock scramble. 
You must wear the proper gear for this hike or you won't be allowed to join this trip. It will likely be cold so prepare for it. 

We will take small breaks throughout the hike. We will eat lunch at the peak for at least an hour or two, depending on the weather. This hike will take at least 5-7 hours depending on the lunch break.
The views during peak fall are amazing and highly worth it to see the different fall colors on the leaves of the trees. 

I also plan to grab dinner and dessert after the hike in an area nearby, anyone on the hike who wants to join is welcome.
