Along the way I would like to enjoy some famous beaches, hike a couple trails and find some hidden treasures. I don't have an exact travel itinerary, yet, but I prefer being outdoors and exploring national parks and forests as much as possible. Stopping in some bigger cities like LA, San Antonio and Houston are an option, too. Either way, good food is important to me and man, am I looking forward to some good BBQs in Texas. 
But like I said nothing is set in stone and I am absolutely open to suggestions. 

What I have to offer is a big enough car to easily travel and sleep in, lots and lots of couch surfing experience and hopefully a national parks pass. That means we will basically just have to split fuel money and buy food for most of the travel. Can't get much cheaper than that.
