Starting from New York. Drive to the south. Then going towards west from deep south states. From Louisiana drive to north through Arkansas, Missouri Illinois, Michigan. Then coming down again to Ohio to Kentucky. From there go to w. Virginia and Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and back to New York through I80. Thinking to use local roads most of the time( not using the interstates highways all the time)with site seeing and visiting attractions and parks on the way. I got the camping gear for me so when ever possible night stays by camping or sleep in the car. ( its SUV) otherwise hotels. May little cooking also possible. I got portable gas cooker and pots.
