I am planing a road trip along Blue Ridge Parkway to watch fall colors. Following is my plan. Fly to Virginia side (Washington DC or Charlottesville) and rent a car--drive Skyline Drive (explore Shenandoah National Park a little bit)--hit blue ridge parkway and drive the whole length--return rental car at airport (Charlotte or Atlanta) and fly back home.
