Looking for adventuresome, fun loving, respectful, outdoor enthusiasts to join me for a casual, yet organized camping, hiking and kayaking adventure. Each day will have a general but flexible agenda but will be We'll explore the historic structures and ruins, of the disbanded 1920's logging town of Proctor, an abandoned copper mine, and mountain cliff Cherokee Petrogyphs! We'll enjoy kayaking and hiking on and around Fontana Lake at the base of the Great Smoky Mountains. Alcohol is not permitted outside of our campsite per Fed. reg. and will only be allowed in the evenings for safety purposes. I'm an experienced licensed guide. You may bring your own kayaks or they may be rented from me. Each participant will be responsible for purchasing their $4.00 per night non-refundable ($8 for two night weekend) camping permits from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park Back Country website. Plans are subject to change for weather and other considerations. This is limited to only four other participants besides myself due to campsite size limitations and logistics, but any one interested might want to sign up in case of any cancellations.
