I am planning on doing a 10 to 14 day trip to Northern Alaska to drive the Dalton highway from Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay in a rented truck with a camper. A tour to the Arctic Ocean and Prudhoe Bay are part of the end game upon reaching Prudhoe Bay. If time and finances allow, I want to take side trips(via airplane) to Barrow and Nome once we get back to Fairbanks. This is not part of the trip but you would be welcome to come along.
The round trip on the Dalton highway is ~1,000 miles. I am thinking of spending 8 to 10 days driving the round trip and camping in the truck along the way. We will take time to do leisure activities such as hiking and sightseeing along the way. Than(time and finances allowing), flying for overnight stays to Barrow and Nome Alaska.
The time frame would likely be somewhere between early June and early Sept. I will be pretty flexible with dates in that time period depending on the needs of the chosen companion. In other words, if you would like to go, propose some dates that you can make it and we will see if they work. Splitting the cost with a travel companion would make this a very affordable trip.
