So the tentative plan here is to make my way down to New Mexico from New York City (ideally we'd start somewhere outside of the city proper, but still within reach of a train). Initially we'll likely not stop much until we reach Nashville--unless we see or hear of somewhere worthwhile along the way. We'll continue the trip in this fashion (I've charted the route of this trip out, but have misplaced the map at the time of writing this) until we reach New Mexico, at which point the stops will become more frequent (as in, we'll hit up Taos, Bandolier, Tent Rocks--to name a few--and terminating at White Sands I have also created an alternate route that meanders through Arizona instead of New Mexico, and if you convince me that route is more alluring, we'll go that way instead. I could add more--I'd like there to be a volunteerism aspect to this, etc--but I'll save it for another time. If this trip piques your interest in any way, let me know and we can brainstorm.
NOTE: Exact dates, despite being flexible, cannot start earlier than specified date (have some prior engagements). Also meeting place and location is flexible and TBD--whatever works best for whoever is interested. I'm big on communication so we'll chat and sort it all out.
