Hey! I'm spending July based in a little mountain village called Arnado, up in the hills of León, working remotely during the week with my girlfriend and our Aussie pup, Hanu (he's four months old, full of beans, and surprisingly good in the car). Weekends and holidays are wide open, and we want to actually see Galicia and Asturias rather than just admire them from the laptop.
The plan is loose on purpose think coastal drives along the Rías Baixas, hikes in the Picos de Europa, a day wandering Santiago or Oviedo, hunting down the best seafood and cider we can find, and probably a few beaches where Hanu can lose his mind in the sand. We're not in a rush and we're not big on rigid itineraries; we like figuring it out as we go and saying yes to the random detour.
Looking for easy going travel partners to share some of these day trips and weekend escapes with — splitting driving and costs, swapping local tips, or just good company on the road. Dog-friendly and dog-loving is a big plus (Hanu comes with us). Couples, solo travellers, fellow remote workers passing through the north all welcome.
