I am gonna do the north south traverese of Iceland this summer. This will be my first thur hike, but i did already some more day hikes in the mountains in austria. This one isn't a easy thru hike and you need to be quite fit.. 25+km every day with 15+ kg backpack on the shoulders, for at least two weeks, without seeing any towns. But it will be worth if.

Right now i am still doing a internship here in iceland and gonna be finished around mid of august. After that i would start this adventure.

What you should bring along: Good hiking experience, good physical condition and the needed gear, backpack, sleeping bag and mat, fitting clothes (rain etc.) and of course a lot of motivation and eager to do this :)
