I’m driving from Esbjerg, Denmark to the Barcelona area in September, leaving around 12 September and returning to Denmark by 27 September.
The main reason for the trip is a wedding near Barcelona on 19 September, but I want the drive itself to be part of the experience rather than simply getting from A to B.
The plan is to drive through Germany and France, with a few overnight stops and time to explore interesting places along the way. I’m aiming for roughly 6–8 hours of actual driving on travel days, with breaks and sightseeing on top of that, so it should feel like a road trip rather than a marathon drive.
I’ll be driving my own car and will be the only driver. I’m looking for someone who might want to join for the whole journey or just part of it. You could potentially join somewhere along the route rather than starting in Denmark.
I’m interested in good food, wine, cities, nature, photography and finding places that are worth stopping for simply because we’re already passing nearby. I’m fairly flexible about the exact route and overnight stops, so there’s room to shape parts of the trip together.
Ideally, I’m looking for someone easy-going who enjoys road trips, doesn’t mind spending quite a few hours in the car, and would be interested in sharing some of the travel costs.
The wedding itself is my own arrangement, so there would also be some time around Barcelona where we could do our own things independently.
If that sounds like your kind of trip, feel free to message me and we can see whether our travel styles and plans match.
