I am planning to camp in the Arthur's Pass village and hike up to avalanche peak on Friday morning then back to camp. I have a 2 person tent and cooking tools which we can share, or if you have those too it'll be great.  it is a long weekend retreat we can share stories and laugh. I don't have a car thou, so if you have one it is surely helpful. However, my current plan is to get there by bus.
