I'm looking to visit southern Italy in May or June 2027. I'm pretty flexible on timing. I'll probably fly in/out of Rome and stay a couple days there. I would like to spend about a week in Puglia and a week in Sicily. Would love to hit Bari, Polignano a Mare, Lecce, and Ostuni in Puglia. In Sicily, I'd like to see Palermo, Taormina, and the Aeolian islands. Open to other suggestions! Renting a car seems like the best way to get around both Puglia and Sicily.
