Hi,
Note, if you can't be active almost every day you should look elsewhere. Also, India in it self can also exhaust people that are not used to the culture.
I have a background in studying Religion in university. I know that the alleged origin of the major eastern religions are in India, a seed of which soil we would walk. Walk with me, I will stop at farms and markets to explore how fabrics and mangoes get sold along with holy sites.
I am not looking to stay long at temples, if you do not convince me. I practice Kriya (etc) twice a day but for merely 20 minutes each sitting.
Among places I aim to visit are the following(somewhat in order).
Rishikesh. Dwārāhāt. Haridwar. Allahabad. Varanasi. Boddhi Gaya in Gaya. Yoganandas residence in Ranchi.
Let me know, I am very flexible but I would be happy with support for more risky trekking or nightly travels with train or whatnot.
Best wishes
