As a tourist guide, I would like to undertake 9-day Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) round treks. The trek starts from Nayapul and ends in Nayapul. 

Deep within the Annapurna Sanctuary, a natural amphitheatre encircled by majestic Himalayan peaks, lies the captivating Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek. This famous trip offers the ideal fusion of natural beauty and cultural diversity as it winds through terraced farmlands, traditional Gurung settlements, and thick rhododendron forests. Trekkers are rewarded with unmatched vistas of Hiunchuli (6,441m), Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Annapurna I (8,091m), and Machapuchare (6,993m) along the route. The journey, which can be completed in 7 to 12 days, is suitable for both novice and experienced hikers, making it a great option for anyone seeking a more condensed yet fulfilling Himalayan experience. Itinerary 

Day 1 Kathmandu to Pokhara (Drive or Flight)

Kathmandu to Pokhara: Early point for Annapurna Base Camp Trek!

 Driving from Kathmandu (1,324m) to Pokhara (822m) on Day 1 of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a picturesque 6-7 hour trip through Nepal’s verdant hills, river valleys, and terraced farmlands. In addition to breathtaking views of the Langtang and Manaslu mountain ranges, the path offers breathtaking views of the Trishuli and Marsyangdi rivers. A tranquil entryway to the Himalayas, Pokhara is tucked away next to Phewa Lake and offers stunning views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. Spend the night in a pleasant hotel where you can visit lively markets and cafes by the lake. Meals consist of breakfast in Kathmandu, lunch at a nearby restaurant while traveling, and dinner in Pokhara. This day, which combines cultural appeal with scenic splendor, sets the tone for the journey to come.

 

Day 2Travel to Nayapul and hike for 5–6 hours to Ghandruk (1,940m)

On the second day of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, you take a car trip from Pokhara to Nayapul (1,010m) in about two hours. From there, you start a beautiful five- to six-hour climb to Ghandruk (1,940m). Ascending through verdant forests, terraced farms, and traditional Gurung villages, the trek provides breathtaking views of Machapuchare (6,993m) and Annapurna South (7,219m). Get a room in a comfortable tea house or lodge in Ghandruk, a quaint village with stone houses and a rich Gurung culture. Meals consist of pasta, noodles, or dal bhat (lentil soup with rice), as well as warm beverages to refuel. Surrounded by stunning Himalayan scenery, this is a moderate trekking day with a 930m elevation increase.

Day 35 to 6-hour trek from Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2,170m)

On the third day of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, you will hike 230 metres higher from Ghandruk (1,940m) to Chhomrong (2,170m) in 5–6 hours. While traversing verdant rhododendron forests and terraced fields, the trek provides breathtaking views of Machapuchare (Fishtail Peak) and the Annapurna range. Perched on a ridge with stunning sunset views across the Himalayas is the charming Gurung settlement of Chhomrong. You spend the night at a teahouse or lodge, where you can eat hot Nepali food (dal bhat, noodles, or soups) and relax before climbing the next day. This is an unforgettable walk stop because of the tranquil surroundings and mountain views.

Day 45 to 6-hour trek to Bamboo (2,310m)

On the fourth day of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, you will walk from Chhomrong to Bamboo, which is 2,310 metres above sea level, for five to six hours. The track offers breathtaking views of terraced fields and waterfalls as it dips through lush forests, over the Chhomrong Khola on a suspension bridge, and then climbs through colourful groves of bamboo and rhododendron. With lush vegetation and the calming sounds of nature all around, an overnight stay in Bamboo is a tranquil experience. Typically, meals consist of spaghetti, noodles, or dal bhat (lentil soup with rice), as well as warming beverages to keep you energised. It’s the ideal place to pause before continuing deeper into the Himalayas because of the serene atmosphere and cool mountain air. This section prepares hikers for the impending alpine scenery by combining moderate difficulty with stunning natural beauty.

Day 54-5 hours of trekking to Deurali (3,230m)

Trekkers walk for four to five hours on Day 5 of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek to reach Deurali (3,230 m/10,597 ft), climbing through verdant forests and beside the Modi Khola River. Beautiful views of steep gorges, waterfalls, and the majestic peaks of Hiunchuli and Machapuchare (Fishtail) may be seen along the trek. In Deurali, guests spend the night in simple tea houses that offer warmth and protection amidst the untamed Himalayan scenery. Noodles, soups, or dal bhat (lentil soup with rice) are among the meals that provide energy for the climb the following day. Evenings are crisp and peaceful beneath starry skies as the altitude rises because the air gets colder. The next alpine terrain close to Annapurna Base Camp is put up for this day

Day 6Walk for 5 to 6 hours to reach Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m) and enter the Annapurna Sanctuary

After five to six hours of hiking on Day 6 of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, you will arrive at Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), which is located at 4,130 meters and offers stunning views of the Annapurna Sanctuary. Surrounded by glacial moraines and alpine meadows, the trail provides breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks such as Annapurna I (8,091m) and Machapuchare (6,993m). You will spend the night at ABC at a teahouse surrounded by the majestic Himalayas, where you will be treated with warmth. To provide energy for the high-altitude stay, meals usually include soups, noodles, or Dal Bhat (lentil soup with rice). This is one of the trek’s highlights because of the tranquil atmosphere beneath the stars and the expansive mountain views. The substantial height climb necessitates proper acclimatization.

Day 7Return to Bamboo (2,310m) via trekking for 6-7 hours

On the seventh day of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, you descend through terraced farms and rich rhododendron forests before arriving back at Bamboo (2,310m) after a 6-7 hour hike. Spending the night in a comfortable teahouse lets you unwind in the tranquil Himalayan landscape. Noodles, momos, or dal bhat (lentil curry with rice) are common meal options that provide a substantial amount of energy for the trip. The peaceful sounds of nature and a restful night’s sleep are guaranteed by Bamboo’s cooler elevation. This day is a highlight of the journey since it combines moderate hiking with stunning natural splendour.

Day 8Drive to Pokhara after trekking to Jhinu Danda (1,780m) for 5 to 6 hours and Celebrate your journey by driving back to Pokhara!

You will walk for five to six hours from Jhinu Danda (1,780m) to Siwai (or a nearby endpoint) on Day 8 of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek before returning by vehicle i.e jeep to Pokhara (820m). With breathtaking vistas of the Annapurna and Machapuchare peaks, the trail winds down through verdant woods, terraced fields, and quaint villages. You can celebrate your journey with a leisurely evening by Phewa Lake in Pokhara after the hike, which is a picturesque three- to four-hour drive away. Breakfast and lunch will be given throughout the hike, and supper will be served at a lakeside restaurant. You will spend the night in a cosy hotel in Pokhara. An incredible Himalayan journey comes to a beautiful conclusion on this day.

Day 9Drive to Kathmandu from Pokhara by Drive.

On the ninth day of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, you travel 200 km (6-7 hours) across picturesque roadways from Pokhara (820m) to Kathmandu (1,324m). Beautiful vistas of river valleys, terraced farmland, and far-off Himalayan peaks can be seen along the trip. You’ll see the Trishuli River and verdant hills as you go through thriving cities like Damauli and Kurintar. Spend the night in Kathmandu, where you may unwind in a cosy hotel. The meals consist of breakfast in Pokhara prior to departure, lunch at a roadside eatery while travelling, and dinner in Kathmandu. Your trekking journey comes to a close here, combining breathtaking scenery with a seamless return to the capital
