I'm 67 years old. I realize that's 502 in dog years, but I'm a spry old geezer. I keep in shape with country line dancing (with the help of lots of stretching and yoga). I love road trips, especially meeting people along the way. I like to couchsurf and stay in Airbnb rooms (I travel solo a lot and motels are rather lonely places). I'm married and travel with my wife a lot, but there are places she has little interest in (third world countries for the most part). I'll go pretty much anywhere..........This summer or fall (2019) I'd like to leave the Northeast for Minnesota, follow the Great Mississippi River Road until I run out of road south of New Orleans, then return via the Natchez Trace Parkway, Blue Ridge Parkway, and the Skyline Drive. In 2020 I'd like to re-create the journey Steinbeck took in Travels with Charlie. I have a pickup truck and camper trailer, but also an old 5-speed Hyundai that gets great mileage..........I've been working on my Spanish because I love Latin America and want to take an extended trip (or trips) in the next couple of years..........Oh, and I want to visit China and Southeast Asia, especially a return to Vietnam (served two tours in 1968-69).
