I am retired and most of my friends are not and I Iove to travel. I am somewhat adventurous but have physical limitations (not to mention monetary limitations! ) Arthritis has taken over my left knee! I like to walk but it needs to be reasonably flat - slopes are hard - steps are fine but are slow going. I am perfectly content to sit at the base of a mountain while companions climb up and back down. I love a horse ride - as long as I have a step to get on the horse! Love nature (I worked in a swamp for 40 years). Found out recently in the D.R. that walking on a sand is really difficult! I have been 3 places on my Bucket List (Australia, Machu Picchu and Iceland [to ride an Icelandic Horse]). I would like to see the Northern LIghts this fall - and there is a ridiculously good price for a flight to Seattle from Charleston so I might have to plan a trip there just because. Been contemplating a cruise but not sure it is for me. Prices for one person are outrageous for the most part. Would love a companion for a Windstar cruise around northern Europe. I have to have my Iced Tea every day. I am friendly and easy going and will sometimes sleep late if no one wakes me up - so please wake me up - I won't be crabby. Right now I have OODLES of Delta FF Miles - so while there are places I want to go - I am open to suggestions! I went through a 5 year knitting phase - then three years ago two litters of kittens were dumped in my yard - that stopped my knitting and I never have gotten back into it, but let me know if you need a scarf on our trip!
