Hi, I’m Andrés — an experienced traveler, professional chef and bilingual Spanish-English speaker with Ecuadorian and American roots.
I would describe myself as cultured, polite, sociable, funny, spontaneous and adventurous, but also responsible when it matters. I enjoy discovering cities on foot, scenic roads, beaches, historic towns, hidden viewpoints, local markets, good food and bars with atmosphere. I’m equally happy visiting a museum, eating at a tiny family-run restaurant, watching a sunset by the sea or enjoying some nightlife, as long as it does not compromise the next day’s journey.
As a chef, I love finding authentic places to eat and trying regional specialties. I am not promising a private chef experience during the trip, but I can certainly help identify the best food options and cook if it becomes useful or necessary.
I usually travel with a plan, but I leave room for spontaneous discoveries. I can organize a scenic route, find a great local meal and still get everyone back to the hostel without turning the trip into a military operation.
I value punctuality, cleanliness, honesty, personal space and respectful communication. I avoid unnecessary drama, excessive drinking, aggressive behavior, constant last-minute changes and anything that could affect safety or the driving schedule.
I am open to compatible solo travelers, although two friends already traveling together could be an especially comfortable fit for a small road-trip group. The goal is a safe, relaxed and respectful atmosphere where everyone has independence but also enjoys sharing the experience.
The best travel companion is someone who can keep up with the rhythm and enjoy it while doing so.
