Vietnam 1-Week Trip Plan

Day 1 – Arrive Hanoi
Land at Hanoi Noi Bai Airport, transfer to Old Quarter, settle in. Check out Train Street in the evening, then explore the Old Quarter for food and shopping.

Day 2 – Ha Long Bay Day Cruise
Early morning start: ~2hr bus to the port, ~6hr cruise around Ha Long Bay, ~2hr bus back to Hanoi.

Day 3 (Sunday) – Hanoi Culture + Night Bus to Sapa
11:30am English Mass at the Cathedral, Water Puppet Show, shopping around Old Quarter. At night, take the ~5hr overnight sleeper bus to Sapa.

Day 4 – Arrive Sapa, Rest
Arrive early morning, recover from the overnight bus. Explore Sapa town and mountain markets. Relax by the hotel pool.

Day 5 – Fansipan Mountain
Take the cable car up to Fansipan, the tallest peak in Southeast Asia.

Day 6 – Love Waterfall Hike
Hike the paved trail through the national reserve to Love Waterfall. Free evening in Sapa to enjoy the mountains one last time.

Day 7 – Night Bus Back to Hanoi + Depart
Take the ~5hr overnight sleeper bus back to Hanoi (leave the night before), then depart from Hanoi Noi Bai Airport.
