📍 Destination & Dates

Where: Playa Ocotal, Costa Rica (near Playa del Coco, Guanacaste region)

When: October 19–25, 2025 (flights already booked from Charlotte → Liberia)

🏡 Lodging

Private 2 bed 2 bath beachfront Airbnb villa already reserved (plunge pool, kitchen) on Playa Ocotal.

🚗 Transportation

Rental car reserved (picking up at Liberia airport).

🌊 Planned Vibe / Activities

Mostly laid-back: beach time, pool, snorkeling, maybe tubing on the Rio Celeste, jungle adventure, some local exploring, good food.

Not into the resort scene — think boho, relaxed, and a little off the beaten path.

💰 Costs

100% of Car and 75% of Airbnb covered by me, so we’d just split groceries, meals out, and excursions.

Pretty budget-friendly once you’re there.

I’m 45, divorced father of 2 boys, originally from Southern California, but transplanted to North Carolina. I lean liberal, love food, experiencing new culture, and appreciate a mix of adventure + downtime.
