Hi everyone! I’m Federico, 31, from Italy.

I’m planning a trip to Sabah, Malaysian Borneo, from August 28 to September 11, 2026. I was supposed to travel with my girlfriend, but unfortunately she can’t join anymore because she recently changed job.

The itinerary is already organized and most of the main bookings are already paid or reserved. The trip includes Kinabatangan River, Danum Valley, Semporna, Mataking Island, island hopping/snorkeling tours, Kota Kinabalu and Kinabalu Park.

I’m looking for a travel buddy, ideally someone interested in joining the whole trip, but I’m also open to sharing only some parts of the itinerary.

The idea would be to split the costs fairly for the parts we do together, especially accommodation, transfers, tours and activities. Some bookings are already made, so it could be a good opportunity for someone who wants to visit Borneo without having to organize everything from scratch.

My travel style is simple and nature-focused: wildlife, jungle, early mornings, river safaris, snorkeling, trekking and local food. Not a luxury trip, but also not extreme backpacking.

Before deciding anything, I’d prefer to have a video call, share the full itinerary and agree clearly on costs, expectations and travel style.
