This will be a 2 week guided trip in Bhutan, round trip from Paro. I have organized the itinerary in coordination with a local operator to be unique and include the most fascinating parts of Bhutan that many people do not have the chance to see! Pricing includes accommodation, entrance fees, private guide, private driver and vehicle as well as food. This is set by the tour provider. Including visiting many ancient dzong fortresses that dot the country, visiting picturesque ancestral Bhutanese monasteries and visits to the Layaps and Brokpas who have unique customs in some very far-flung parts of the country. The government even set up the Sakteng Wildlife Sanctuary (which we will visit) to protect the mythical yeti! To top it all off we will take to the iconic Tiger’s Leap Monastery.
This is an adventure-style trip with environmental challenges but limited trekking:
*) Altitude up to ~3,000+ meters
*) Short treks to Laya and Tiger’s Leap Monasteries
*) Travel through remote areas with rough roads
👉 This trip is best suited for:
*) Fit and active travelers
*) Those comfortable with short hikes and long distance road travel
*) Travelers open to simple, authentic experiences
