My Sri Lanka trip in August 2027 is a solo journey combining culture, wildlife, nature, scenic train travel and major traditional festivals. I’ll travel from the south coast and Yala to Arugam Bay, Ella and the tea country, then continue through Kandy, Anuradhapura, Wilpattu and Sigiriya before heading to Trincomalee and Jaffna. Along the way I’ll experience the Kandy Esala Perahera, Nikini Poya traditions in Anuradhapura, the Nallur Festival in Jaffna, safaris, tea plantations, historic sites, beaches and snorkeling, using a mix of trains, buses, shared tours and selected private transfers.
