I'd love to show you around my little town. The harbour is a great place to meet up, it's small with some awesome coffee shops and a beach. When in Seaham, make sure you enjoy the local promenade with its many cafes and restaurants, extensive beaches, and nature hikes along the Durham Heritage Trail that runs from Sunderland to Hartlepool.
