So I'm looking at taking a couple of weeks to drive the Gibb River Road. I'll depart Darwin on Sunday 30th and drive to Derby in my little lancer. From there I'll hire a 4wd and drive the Gibb returning the car to Derby on the 9th or 10th of June. Looking to be back in Darwin on Friday 11th June. Looking for someone to keep me company while we enjoy the journey! We can split car hire and petrol costs and it should work out to maybe $1400 each give or take. You'll need your own camping gear but would like to do shared meals if you're keen.
