Hey all! This year I finally hope to accomplish this amazing trip to Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Northern Minnesota. I'm thinking about doing a 4 or possibly 5 day backcountry canoe loop, starting near Ely, Minnesota. I'm an amateur paddler but know what I'm doing. Mixing in some superb freshwater fishing along the way, and nab some excellent camping spots wherever we might come across one. I'll be flying into Duluth, MN from Denver, CO around the 28th of September and returning around Oct 4th or so.

There are a lot of outfitters up there outside the wilderness area to rent all the gear that is needed, including the canoe. If you might be interested, you know what to do!
